The first annual \u201cFamily Business Center Challenge\u201d saw the Institute for Family-Owned Business, Maine, and the Family Business Alliance, Grand Rapids, won top spots in the challenge sponsored by Family Enterprise USA.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The \u201cFamily Business Center Challenge\u201d promotes Family Enterprise USA\u2019s Annual Family Business Survey<\/a> among family business centers. The survey is the most comprehensive annual survey of issues and concerns facing family-owned businesses in America.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s \u201cPlatinum\u201d winners, for supplying the \u201cMost Respondents\u201d for the survey, was the Institute for Family-Owned Business, Maine, which received a first-place prize of $1,000.\u00a0 The second-place finisher was University of Toledo, Family Business Center, and third place was the University of Cincinnati, Goering Center for Family and Private Business.<\/p>\n

The challenge\u2019s \u201cGold\u201d winners, those family business centers with the highest percentage increase of respondents over the previous year, saw first place go to the Family Business Alliance, Grand Rapids, which received $1,000.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The second and third position winners were University of Northern Iowa and Wake Forest University, respectively.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s first Family Business Center Challenge is a great way for family business centers to participate in helping Family Enterprise USA gauge the critical issues facing America\u2019s family-owned businesses through its Annual Family Business Survey<\/a>,\u201d said John Gugliada, Director of Engagement, Family Enterprise USA and Family Enterprise USA Action.\u00a0 \u201cWe congratulate the winners and look forward to making next year\u2019s challenge equally rewarding for family business centers.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Annual Business Survey tallied 710 respondents from 46 states, among the highest response rates for the comprehensive survey of family businesses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
